Frequently asked questions.

What should I wear to my session?

I always suggest neutrals. Neutrals photograph well and they go well with my editing style/photography style. For family sessions I suggest mom choosing her outfit first, then coordinating (not matching) everyone else’s outfit to compliment hers. Avoid black/bright colours. If you’d like to add in a pop of colour, I suggest muted tones. You can also add in a pattern or different materials(flowy linen dress with a cute hat), or knit sweater on top of your outfit to add some substance. Props are always fun (hats/blankets etc).

I always suggest picking an outfit that goes with the location. Flowy, casual dresses for the beach (maternity/family). Flowy casual dress or loose fitting outfit for in home newborn sessions.

When is the best time to shoot our session?

1 hour before sunset for family/maternity.

Mornings for in home newborn.

How do I get photos to turn out like your portfolio?

You shoot at the time I suggest we shoot at, wear clothing like the photos I’ve posted, and shoot in the same locations. Weather and natural light also will play a part in this. Weather is something I cannot control.

Can I keep the raw images?

Unfortunately no. This is unfinished work for me. You can view your images to select the ones you want me to edit. You’re welcome to purchase more images than your package comes with, but I do not allow download of raw images.

Will we still shoot if it’s raining or cloudy?

If it rains we would reschedule to the next best date for us both. If it’s cloudy/overcast we will still shoot
